My name is Szilvia Varga. I am a contemporary painter and the founder and creator of Sylvara Fine Art. My waterfront lifestyle, my close connection to nature, my passion for collecting, and the eclectic collection of photographs I have taken during my travels all serve as sources of inspiration.
Looking back, the joy that creativity brings was already present in my life during childhood. I spent many afternoons after school at my mother’s workplace, where she worked as a florist and encouraged me to express my own creativity. I also spent countless hours in my grandparents’ sewing workshop, making doll clothes from fabric scraps, and found another outlet for self-expression in the local drama club.
Even then, I felt that the entire creative process was filled with positive, uplifting energy and a deep sense of happiness.
Later, I continued my studies at a business school, and for a time, artistic pursuits gave way to exploring other possibilities and testing my wings.
My journey into painting began in 2012 with a painting set I received as a gift. As the saying goes, when the student is ready, the teacher appears. I became a student of painter Zoltán Vágó, whose guidance allowed me to embark on my own colorful and exciting journey of artistic discovery across different styles. Through this experience, I also became part of an artistic community where we inspired and influenced one another’s growth.
Although this journey of discovery is still ongoing, today I create in my own studio on the banks of the Danube. Here, I live and work in near symbiosis with nature, the world of the water, and the ever-changing scents of the river. Yoga and meditation are also integral parts of my daily life, and their influence flows into my paintings. My brush is guided by my emotions and energies of the moment, resulting in works that are diverse and often visually bold, even intense.
There are times when my original ideas undergo numerous transformations and emotional shifts before a painting reaches completion.
Through the sensations and emotions blended into the paint, I hope to share these moments of joy with others.
I have also transformed my inspirations into a business venture: Mola Mola Gallery, where you can meet me and experience my work in person.
